Joey Kraut

Hey, I'm Joey! I'm a robotics engineer based in San Francisco. I spend most of my time thinking about how to train better robot policies, especially given capable LLMs.

Previously, I worked on high-performance cryptography and distributed systems at Renegade, where I served as CTO for 4 years. I've written about some of the fun technical details here. Before that, I worked on embedded machine learning and anomaly detection at Verkada.

I studied CS and statistics at UC Berkeley, and ran an undergrad ML club while there.
